T H E C H A L L E N G E

Allerstr. 11 consists of 3 individual brands and types of products - sharing the common vision to bring plant-based, hand-made, natural products to their customers. Their space does not only serve as a store to sell products, but also as a creative environment for workshops and craftsmanship.

Our goal was to create a clear, coherent and beautiful identity for their space communicating their shared values and unique set up of the space - without compromising on the individuality of their individual brands.

O U R I M P A C T

We approached the design of Allerstr.’s space identity by focusing on both the user-centric experience in the physical space as well as the shared values and vision of the 3 co-owners. Our goal was to create a visual language that transports both useful information of the space as well as meaningful emotions about its cause.

We built a new visual identity focusing on modern, warm color schemes, catchy words & taglines and a new world of emotional imagery.

How We Impact Human Senses

In order to humanize the overall space and brand experience, we focus on a variety of human senses and emotions - and develop action points to reach them.

New Space Identity

The word “atelier” incorporates aspects of creation and craftsmanship. As the space does promote plants, textiles and candles - a more neutral, earthy color base was chosen - alongside a fresh, and feminine rose.

Digital Adaptation

To bring the brand identity to live, we gave a new direction to translate the space experience digitally.

“From 5 pm on, our space was usually less crowded so we wanted to attract other groups of clients such as companies, surf communities, meetups to host team dinners, birthday parties or other events.”

One month post opening, Boutik reached out to us wanting to assess and evaluate the status quo in their space - and find additional revenue opportunities for the slower evening hours. Our goal was to identify this new target clientele and create a product offering that is realizable in the space and matches Boutik’s unique space identity.

O U R I M P A C T

After a very busy first month of business, we took a step back with the owners and analyzed the overall activity in the space -from clients to service to organizational aspects- and identified success factors as well as pain points.

Based on the results of this Health Check, we turned to the development of a B2B Group Product that works within the parameters and constraints of the space. We created potential personas, researched local and international target groups and created matching use cases for group events.

We translated our approach into a brochure that speaks the visual language of Boutik and still covers all relevant information about space, pricing and amenities.

In addition, we worked on a launch strategy to reach and attract these target communities such as eco-conscious companies or communities with a focus on health & activities.

A few months after launching their Group Program, Boutik organized events for a
Digital Nomad Community, Startup Group, Company Events and a Wine & Tapas Tasting.

What Our Clients Say

“Space & Pepper did excellent, in-depth work on understanding our vision and identifying areas with potential for growth and additional revenues.
We wanted to develop a B2B & Group offer for a new set of clients and create a coherent strategy for our Café-Boutique.

Two months after our opening, Space & Pepper allowed us to sit back, reflect, and become aware of all the opportunities we have. 2019 will be a crazy busy year for us and we’re more than excited!”

T H E C H A L L E N G E

While the living space of Chijil are being planned and built, the owners are still in the process of developing the concept and identifying their target clientele. Since we believe that the target audience and their needs has major implications on decisions such as User Experience, Interior Design, Set up & Service - the project was in need of quick guidance and directions.

It was important to adapt a global perspective on target groups while taking into consideration relevant market trends and developments in hospitality and travel. The goal was to identify and characterize client groups that match the space identity and vision of the owner - and provide references and links for inspiration.

O U R I M P A C T

We based our research on a primary consultation with the owners about their space vision, its look and feel, location, facilities, and the targeted service level. Subsequently we dove into a deep research about trends and developments and selected the ones where we saw parallels for both space identity and set up.

We further analyzed the target groups and refined them based on the feedback we accumulated. We re-characterized the personas based on their interest rather than optics. Lastly, we collected and showcased a vast collection of comparable, inspirational concepts around the world - highlighting their USP’s and product offering.
